Skin, hair and hooves consist of fibrous proteins. These proteins are referred to as keratin. Biotin plays an essential role in the formation of keratin. It has been scientifically proven that skin, hair and hoof health can be improved by supplementing with Biotin. Biotin is also known as vitamin B8. PharmaHorse Biotin supports healthy skin, hair and hooves.
Biotin is a water soluble B vitamin, which is not made naturally by animal and human bodies. Because Biotin is so essential, it should be added to feed. The majority of concentrated feed is deficient in Biotin and contains only 1-2 mg/kg, and it is therefore recommended to add Biotin in the form of a supplement. Biotin is an extremely safe supplement to add to feed. There are no known contraindications or toxicities for horses and it is easy to add to food.
PharmaHorse Biotin does not contain fillers such as dextrose or maltodextrin. In addition to Biotin, it also provides the body with MSM (methylsuflonylmethane) to support healthy hoof growth and good * quality. In addition, 1 gram of linseed oil has been added to ensure that the product does not spurt out when adding to feed.
PharmaHorse Biotin has a high dosage. This high safe dosage of 2000 mg of Biotin per kg of product works powerfully and effectively. The correct daily dosage is 20 mg of Biotin a day for a fully grown hose and 10 mg a day is recommended for a pony. 10 grams PharmaHorse Biotin+ contains 20 mg biotin.
Tip: give horses with poor hooves and hair a preventative dose of Biotin!

To achieve a positive result Biotin should be administered for several consecutive months, as hoof growth is a time consuming process and it takes time before a positive result is visible.
Directions for use:
Pony: 2 measuring scoops a day.
Horse: 4 measuring scoops a day.
1 measuring scoop is equal to approx. 2.5 grams (measuring scoop included).
PharmaHorse Biotin can be mixed with your horse's or pony's daily feed.
