Why give your horse PharmaHorse Garlic?
PharmaHorse Garlic is a pure concentrated product and contains only the finest garlic. It is a supplementary animal feed that is naturally rich in: Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, organic sulphur, magnesium, folic acid and the natural anti-oxidant selenium. Garlic has been used by humans for thousands of years due to its healing properties. The Chinese, Egyptians and Romans used garlic for many medical purposes. The healing effects of garlic are due to the presence of dithiolthions. This group of bioactive substances (including allicin) naturally contain sulphur compounds. Many studies have been carried out on the effects that these substances have on the well-being of humans and animals.
Garlic is often used to boost the immune system of the horse, maintain healthy airways and promote good circulation. Garlic also has anti-bacterial and anti-allergic properties and is effective against parasites, fungus and viruses. Garlic is a blood purifier and this means that regular use of garlic provides excellent support in the prevention of summer eczema and laminitis. When used internally the skin gives off a strong smell and this serves as an insect repellent, keeping flies at bay. We recommend giving PharmaHorse Garlic throughout the year and to start administering it in plenty of time before the periods when insects are most troublesome. We do not recommend the use of PharmaHorse Garlic after an operation, as it reduces blood clotting.
PharmaHorse Garlic can be used successfully in conjunction with PharmaHorse Fenugreek. These herbs complement each other well and both contain substances that ensure that they are absorbed more effectively. We also offer an excellent Garlic and Fenugreek blend PharmaHorse FenuGarlic.

Directions for use:
Pony: 1 measuring scoops a day
Horse: 2 measuring scoops a day
1 measuring scoop is equal to approximately 12 grams.
Caution! Do not exceed the recommended dosage. For horses a serving of 0.2 grams per kilo of body weight is harmful to red blood cells; this means 100 grams of garlic a day for a horse weighing 500 kg. We recommend sticking to a maximum of 30 grams a day; then garlic is an extremely healthy addition to the daily rations.
